On Saturday, I held a spring flowers lino printing workshop at Bishops Cleeve Tithe Barn, and it was such fun. I had a great group of people attend, and everyone was so creative and talented. It was so satisfying to see everyone unleash their creativity, and the room was a busy hive of activity!
We started the workshop by going over the basics of lino printing. We talked about the printmaking process, carving tools, and inks.
Everyone took their time carving their designs, enjoying the super relaxing process, and it was amazing to see the different ideas that everyone came up with.
Once everyone had finished carving, we started printing. I showed everyone how to roll the ink onto the lino block, and then how to press the block onto the paper. I was so impressed by how quickly everyone got the hang of it.
There were a variety of different colour inks available, which really made the prints pop. Everyone was so excited to see their prints come to life, and they were all really happy with the results.
I had a great time at the workshop, helping everyone find their creative side and can’t wait to do it again soon!
