Beech Trees on Cleeve Hill A2 Print

This acrylic landscape painting is of a place that is very special to me. These ancient beeches cling to the side of the hill and it's somewhere I often walk. I have sketched them many times, so it was fantastic to paint them in their autumn glory showing their beautiful colours. I had so many positive comments about this painting I have decided to offer this as an A2 giclee print. I am passionate protecting the natural world on my doorstep and am involved in conservation work on Cleeve Hill.

About the Painting

The painting depicts a small patch of woodland on Cleeve Hill in Gloucestershire. The ancient beeches cling to the side of the hill, their trunks twisted and gnarled. I often wonder what stories they have to tell! The leaves are ablaze with autumn colours, from the fiery reds and oranges to the golden yellows. The painting is full of life and movement, with the wind rustling through the leaves and the sun shining through the branches. I really enjoyed painting this. It's wonderful to be able to produce something that captures the essence of the landscape I love.
